Seeing this lawyer in action one must think that there is competition for Shafee Abdullah and the traits coming from now 2013 till the next General Election. Pakatan have a credible and dependable lawyer in Ashok Kandiah. His wisdom and actions yesterday in acquiring the release of Tian Chua, Tamrin Ghafar and Harris Ibrahim has sent shock waves to Zahid Hamidi and the Home Ministry. They still haven't been able to take control of the courts and this is causing pandemonium within the UMNO circles.
Zahid has to take on Anwar Ibrahim. There is no two's about that. Anwar will have to face whatever music UMNO is going to throw at him. Its not going to be fruits and roses, but Anwar is seen as a seasoned politician. Taking beatings after beatings from UMNO and Barisan Nasional yet still standing after their onslaught. Ashok Kandiah will be there to ensure law is prevailed. Will there be mercy from UMNO ? Don't expect any as they are also playing for keeps. Any loss in Parliament means losing the seat of power....

Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) menuntut agar pemimpin Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (SPR) meletakkan jawatan kerana gagal memastikan Pilihan Raya Umum ke-13 (PRU13) lalu berlangsung dengan adil dan bersih. Presiden PKR Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail berkata, walaupun tuntutan rakyat yang dibuat berkali-kali melalui Bersih ditolak kesemuanya melainkan penggunaan dakwat kekal.

Timbalan Presiden PAS Mohamad Sabu menyifatkan Menteri Dalam Negeri Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi sudah panik apabila cuba memberi amaran jangan menghadiri himpunan aman SuaraRakyat 505 esok.

Good news for the Opposition. Tian Chua, Harris Ibrahim and Tamrin Ghafar have been released by the Courts. A day after being arrested in separate raids by the police force, the courts have found no grounds to remand the three and the police have been questioned in their justification into the arrests.
Under the sedition act, only the Home Minister can order the arrests of the three hence we wait for a responce from the current home Minister Zahid Hamidi. Lets see how this plays out. Who will win in this cat and mouse game. |

Malaysian authorities have detained three anti-government figures, charged a student activist with sedition and seized hundreds of opposition newspapers, raising political tensions after recent national elections triggered claims of fraud.
Opposition activists have staged numerous peaceful demonstrations since the 5 May general election won by the National Front coalition with a weakened parliamentary majority. The activists insist the coalition, which has governed since 1957, retained power through bogus ballots and other irregularities, though the prime minister, Najib Razak, and electoral authorities deny manipulating the results....
